Andre Brooks has stepped straight into Norwich City’s pre-season work, giving Philippe Clement an immediate wide option to assess at the Avant Training Centre.
Norwich City’s official Day One gallery confirmed that Brooks and fellow new signing Bruno Alves met their new teammates as preparations for the 2026/27 season began.
For Brooks, the timing matters.
Norwich confirmed his arrival from Sheffield United only six days earlier, with the winger joining on a five-year deal after a strong individual campaign at Bramall Lane.
Brooks Gives Norwich A Live Wide-Player Test
Brooks arrives with Championship rhythm already in his legs and a profile Clement can work with quickly.
Norwich’s official announcement highlighted his technical quality, athleticism and room for further development. The club also noted his senior Jamaica debut earlier this year.
The key now is integration.
ReadNorwich has already looked at how Brooks gives Clement a two-way wide option, but the first training images move the story forward.
He is not waiting for the squad to settle before entering the tactical work.
That gives Clement a useful early read on Norwich’s balance before the friendlies begin. The Canaries start their public pre-season schedule against King’s Lynn Town on July 4, with a Championship opener against West Bromwich Albion waiting on August 15.
If Brooks absorbs the defensive detail quickly, he should give Norwich a sharper right-sided option before the serious work starts.
For a squad being reshaped around energy, availability and repeat running power, Brooks’ first full training block is more than a photo opportunity.
It is the start of a proper selection fight.
