Arsenal and Spurs to do battle for Norwich’s Max Aarons

Arsenal and Tottenham have joined the race to sign Norwich’s flying full-back Max Aarons, according to the Daily Mail.

New Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen on bringing another right-back to the club after reportedly not being impressed with fellow Spaniard Hector Bellerin, with Aarons his number one target.

Arsenal made an enquiry for the full-back and it is reported that a fee of around £30m would be satisfactory for the Canaries to let him move on.

Arsenal aren’t the only club interested in the former Luton man though, their North London neighbours are the favourites to sign the right back.

Spurs tried to sign Aarons in the summer under Mauricio Pochettino but were unable to finalise a deal.

If Aarons was to move to London he would likely spend the rest of the season on loan at Carrow Road.

If he was to move to Arsenal he would get a lot of minutes on the pitch because the Gunners have struggled to find quality in that position recently.

On the other side, if he moved to the Spurs, then he would most likely go back on loan to Norwich, so he could face a tough decision over the coming weeks.
