Norwich reject Boro’s £4m offer for Josh Murphy

Norwich City winger Josh Murphy has been the subject of a £4m bid from Middlesbrough today, according to Daily Mail journalist Craig Hope.

The youngster enjoyed a successful season with the Canaries last term and interest in his signature this summer was somewhat inevitable. However, the offer of £4m has evidently been seen as a derisory one from Norwich, and Boro’s bid has been turned down.

Murphy’s brother, Jacob, is looking poised to secure a move away from Carrow Road imminently, with Newcastle closing in on a deal worth in the region of £12m.

Josh Murphy contributed with four goals and five assists last season in the Championship, as he made 27 appearances under Alex Neil and Alan Irvine.

Norwich will be keen to keep hold of the 22-year-old, who looks set for big things.
