City interested in Nuremberg midfielder

Norwich have teken an interested in Nuremberg midfielder Hanno Behrens, reports German paper Bild .

Behrens could be the next in a long line of players from the German league to join Norwich, with Daniel Farke recruiting a number of players from his homeland this summer.

Behrens plays in defensive midfield and was described as a ‘midfield motor’ by this report. He has made 71 appearances for Nuremberg, scoring eight goals. Behrens’ experience comes at Bundesliga 2 level, with both Nuremberg and Darmstadt. He was part of the SV98 team that gained promotion to the Bundesliga in the 14/15 season, however, was sold that summer.

Both Christoph Zimmermann and Marcel Franke were signed from lower German tiers, so Behrens may be able to gel well with their styles of play and this could lead to success for the trio with the Canaries.

Norwich have already made seven signings this summer, with Daniel Farke making changes throughout his squad.
